Key responsibilities Assist with on-time shipments to customers by utilizing production schedules. Organize and optimize those products into a schedule that enhances factory efficiency while meeting customer delivery requirements.Ensure planned orders are completed to support on-time delivery and initiatives to meet site KPIs.Manage product additions to the current schedule as required due to rejected material (manufacturing) or urgent customer orders.Become the first line of defense for maintaining the structure and order of the schedule once it has been prepared and submitted to the appropriate departments.Communicate the production schedule to Production, Sales, and Nashville Management. Ensure open communication with stakeholders regarding changes to the schedule.Update and optimize the flow of products through the factory by monitoring factory performance and the position of each batch, making necessary adjustments to the schedule. Ensure materials and equipment are pre-arranged for production.Responsible for the active development and coordination of production schedules daily or weekly to meet site objectives. Ability to forecast, expedite, make immediate changes, and manage lead time while handling multiple systems and demands. Create and maintain master schedules to meet production goals, deadlines, and customer needs.Promote the quality system by adhering to the philosophy, quality statement, quality manual, and procedures.Job requirements Education: Bachelor's degree (Engineering preferred) or equivalent work experience with 3-5 years in manufacturing (raw material scheduling, customer service, and/or inventory control).Experience: 1-2 years of experience using the SAP system.Familiarity with procedures for hazardous and non-hazardous waste.Experience with Quality Systems (e.g., ISO).Knowledge of raw materials consumption, order release, and closing processes.Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.Working knowledge of effective supply chain performance including supply planning, customer service, supplier, and asset management.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Excel, MS Teams, as well as SAP knowledge and MRP experience.Strong planning and organization skills.Availability for both office and plant work.Ability to work with cross-functional teams.Good organizational and time management skills.Must be able to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.Ability to work under pressure in a deadline-driven environment.Activities: Carry out the consumption of raw materials.Deliver manufacturing orders to the production team.Verify that the manufacture of purchase orders is completed.Reconcile raw material consumption against BOM.Close production orders and safeguard formulas and process parameters.Evaluate and analyze the material efficiency of manufactured products.Implement processes in the manufacturing area to improve quality and efficiency.Support improvements in new equipment and technologies in the manufacturing process.Review and improve production and warehouse operation instructions and procedures.Implement new practices and work processes in the search for operational excellence.Ensure compliance with quality, safety, health, and environmental standards established by AkzoNobel and clients.Maintain updated documentation in the quality system regarding waste from the site.At AkzoNobel, we are highly committed to ensuring an inclusive and respectful workplace where all employees can be their best selves.
