BorgWarner Fuel Systems and Aftermarket is currently looking for "dynamic, results driven" individual to join as a Production Scheduler.
In this role, and under direct supervision of the Master Scheduler, the Production Scheduler is responsible for providing the production schedules in the assigned business unit on a weekly basis, responsible for generating and updating MPS (Master Production Schedule) consistent with customer demand and line capacities.
Being a link between customer service, material planners and production supervisors to ensure compliance with the Production Schedule.
- Generate weekly production schedule for each production line.
(Release production orders that do not contain missing materials.
- Define production program sequence and priorities.
- Updating and maintenance of MPS of each production line (weekly & daily) with the focus of client compliance in a timely manner.
- MPS leveling based on available production days and capacities.
- Effective communication with Operations, Planning, Floor Coordinators for compliance with the production schedule.
- Analysis of special requirements to define delivery times based on capacities, LT of materials, etc.
- Planning and monitoring of urgent and critical requirements.
- Daily information flow with Customer Service to ensure compliance with critical models and shipping plans.
- Carry out recovery plan for clients and critical models.
- Inventory management.
- Participation in weekly Production readiness meetings for monitoring and compliance with new projects, PTRS, lab Orders, etc.
- Provide a level Production Program vs. Capacity of the lines.
- Monitoring compliance with the production program and sharing the result with the areas involved.
- Assurance and monitoring of the assigned sales target on a daily basis.
- Filling of follow-up reports to short materials, required coverages, etc.
- Generation of Production Program on a Monthly basis according to MPS and Short Materials for definition of Sales Goal by assigned MRP lines.
- Continuous improvement in their daily activities.
- This position will adhere to BorgWarner SLP's current Occupational Health and Safety Administration and Management System designed and implemented under Mexican law and applicable national and international standards.
Safety rules, practices and training are included as stated in the BorgWarner SLP Internal Work Regulations, which includes the use of PPE and/or clothing required by the company.
This position will be performed in such a way as to highlight the importance of preventing accidents and illnesses, assuming responsibility for those aspects of the Occupational Health and Safety Administration and Management System over which they have control.
All reasonable precautions must be taken in the given circumstances for the protection of your own safety and health and that of co-workers.
In addition, you will be responsible for reporting all injuries and/or possible dangerous situations, exposure risks, incidents or accidents that occur to your immediate supervisor, so that preventive and corrective actions can be taken.
- Actively participate in the Annual Physical Inventory.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: Industrial engineer/Business administration
- Time of experience in a similar position: 2 year or more in a similar position.
- Technical knowledge required: Knowledge of manufacturing process, MRP and MPS.
- Other Knowledge: Microsoft Office, SAP.
- English: Advanced.
