Write the next chapter of your ABB story.This position reports to:Production ManagerYour role and responsibilities:In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead a team within a Production unit or line to execute production processes, transforming parts and raw materials into ABB products in a timely and cost-effective manner. Each day, you will ensure continuous and efficient operation in accordance with volumes, schedules, procedures, drawings, and quality and safety standards and policies. You will also showcase your expertise by organizing and allocating resources to meet line production targets effectively and efficiently. The work model for the role is: #LI-onsite. This role is contributing to the Smart Buildings division in Nogales, Mexico. You will be mainly accountable for:Drive daily schedule attainment to meet all internal and external customer commitments with top quality at the lowest cost, implement a strategy to reduce cycle times, drive VCP, reduce in-process inventory levels, and improve quality, service and safety.Develop, coordinate, lead and execute daily production plans.Drive and execute the HSE policy among the production crew.Lead daily Gemba walks.Keep Supervisor scorecard program greater than 9.Search HSE findings, lead meetings for near misses and first aids of our operators.Use lean toolkit to improve process efficiency.Provide input to Engineering on new product development ensuring products will be serviceable.Report product defects ensuring these are resolved.Coordinate with Product Development and other departments to ensure service requirements are complied.Qualifications for the role:BS Engineer University Degree or significant experience.2-5 years experience in manufacturing, supply chain, operations.Conversational English.Effective Communication Skills.Able to work under stress and time deadline situations.Decision Making Ability.Time Management.More about us:We value people from different backgrounds.
