Job Summary:
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily manufacturing operations to ensure production goals are met efficiently and safely. This role ensures compliance with safety standards, maintains product quality, and optimizes processes for productivity. The Production Supervisor leads, trains, and supports a team of operators, coordinates workflow, and resolves production issues in real-time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of production workers to meet production targets and quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety protocols, and regulatory standards.
- Monitor the production process, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements to optimize efficiency.
- Maintain production schedules, adjust staffing levels, and coordinate resources to meet deadlines.
- Lead and motivate production teams, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Maintain and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), including output, downtime, and safety metrics.
- Collaborate with the maintenance and quality departments to ensure equipment and products meet required standards.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline operations and reduce waste.
- Ensure the proper use and maintenance of machinery, tools, and equipment.
- Handle disciplinary actions, resolve conflicts, and support employee development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field preferred.
- 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
- Solid understanding of production processes, machinery, and lean manufacturing principles.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with ERP or production management systems.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
