Job DescriptionJOB PURPOSEDirects and coordinates daily activities and development of production personnel engaged in the manufacturing and secondary operations of Nitinol Tubing, sheet and/or components.PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIESResponsible for directly managing and developing departmental Team Leads as well as directly or indirectly leading a shift of greater than 20 personnel engaged in the manufacturing of Nitinol Products.Planning and coordination of production activities to obtain optimum utilization of human resources, direct materials, and equipment.Advises Management of new developments that may affect profit, schedule, costs, customer relations and/or inter-departmental relations.Schedules all labor within their assigned department which includes overtime, vacations, leave of absences, and training to ensure timely completion.Weekly approvals of time records for department.Responsible for timely performance feedback and annual reviews.Maintains a working knowledge of new technologies which may improve operations and develops recommendations accordingly.Applies LEAN Principles/Manufacturing Excellence/4CP principles to drive process improvements in the department.Escalates machining issues to material control/master scheduler that may impact production schedules.Develops capital equipment justifications for machines, machine tools, and process technology as needed to improve quality, cost and/or cycle times.Other duties may be assigned.QUALIFICATIONS/ KNOWLEDGE/ EXPERIENCEBachelor's or Engineer's degree.Advanced English.4-6 years experience in a manufacturing environment preferably servicing the Medical Device Industry with a minimum of 2 years supervising a team.Working knowledge in progressive management technologies such as Lean Manufacturing, JIT, MRP, and ERP.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, …)Afternoon shift from Monday to Friday, from 3:30 pm to 11:54 pm.SkillsProduction, supervisor, Lean Manufacturing, JIT, MRP, ERP, Microsoft Office, medical devicesAbout CompanyStrategic knowledge and a culture of innovation are the basis of the accomplishments and solutions we have shared with over 600 clients among a broad field of industries.
