.Work Mode: OnsiteLocation: ReynosaOpportunityBASIC FUNCTIONWill be responsible for all objectives as established by the Production Superintendent to maintain the department in good working order to provide a safe work environment and achieve targeted production objectives using lean tools and scientific methods.SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIESManage effectiveness of several departments throughout the plant and achieve production objectives through efficient utilization of assigned personnel, materials, and equipment per Engineering Standards.Communicate expectations of departmental associates directly to Foremen. Facilitate understanding and acceptance of expectations through daily/weekly/monthly reviews and continuous monitoring of performance results as prescribed by the Production Superintendent.Provide leadership and direction for operational salary and hourly people assigned to the operation.Continually monitor and modify training requirements necessary to support fulfillment of production activities.Interact with the foremen on all Production activities and supervise accurate data logging for Production Reports in SAP.Ensure foremen are held accountable for accurate reporting on all required reports and hour-by-hour standard worksheets. Design and implement solutions if hourly/daily/weekly attainment is not being met.Coordinate daily and weekly meetings with production foremen and support department leaders to review results and define corrective actions.Coordinate quality improvements within the department by working closely with all support groups.Manage expense budgets for assigned department for all raw materials and consumables per Engineering Standards.Develop charts/statistics upon request to track the manufacturing performance metrics.Support finances with the overtime controls and preapprovals.Manage expenses budget assigned to manufacturing. Propose, coordinate, and implement cost reduction projects in the manufacturing areas.Participate with support team and continuous improvement in workshop VSM, SMED to improve area results.RELATIONSHIPS AND CONTACTSSupervisory Relationships:Reports directly to Production SuperintendentOrganization Relationships:Frequent interaction with plant staff, Union associates, department Foremen, plant supervisory staff, Quality team, auditors, and Engineer team.Skills/RequirementsEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSEngineer Bachelor's degree (Industrial, Mechanic or similar).At least 3-7 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.Strong knowledge of injection molding.Effective oral and written communication skills, along with the ability to prioritize and schedule work to maintain production and quality deadlines.Must have problem-solving skills (Scientific method) to provide workable and efficient solutions for the factory environment.The ability to speak, write, and understand English is required
