We invite you to explore opportunities with Cubic.Job Details:Job Summary: Oversees fabrication of precision parts and components including setting up and operation three or more groupings of metal fabricating machines such as CNC Vertical machine centers (VMC), CNC multi axes Lathes machines, and CNC multi axes Swiss Machines, working from complex blueprints, sketches, work orders and verbal instructions. This position typically works under general supervision and direction.Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:- Ensure the safety in the Machining area, training and provide special attention to the new technicians.- Assign productions orders to workers.- Solve Production Problems.- Control the daily efficiency of operators.- Control scrap.- Assure documentation of processes to follow, for the manufacture of new products, setup sheets, visual aids, etc.- Collaborate with engineering, in the design of fixtures to improve processes, or security actions.- Seek continuous improvement in the area, focused on productivity and the use of equipment, materials and tools.- Support programmers to define the machining processes of the new part numbers, considering the machines to be used for their manufacture.- Follow up special requirements of tools, if required, from the purchasing department.- Support the production area, as well as the realization of orders with high priority.- Carry out activities related to the position.- Be available to work on the production floor if is needed (attend an urgency).Minimum Job Requirements:- Technical career in Machining- 5 years of experience in a similar position.- Reading and interpretation of blue prints, experience and knowledge of advanced DG&T (Geometric Tolerances).- Advanced knowledge in handling and use of measuring instruments, (Caliper, micrometer, height meter, optical comparator etc).- 3 years minimum of verifiable experience in software management of CAD-CAM, CamWorks, GibsCam, SolidWorks.- 5 years' experience, operating and performing set ups on CNC machines, Milling Machine Hass 4th and 5th axis
