We aim to be where the growth is, enabling businesses to thrive and economies to prosper, and, ultimately, helping people to fulfil their hopes and realise their ambitions.We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Production Support Engineer.In this role, you will:Own and manage end to end Incident, Problem and Change management activities within the overall Data Analytics platform.Handle and improve Batch monitoring, issue resolution and Service requests.Monitor and report all aspects of Production processing (Incidents, Problems, Service Level indicators etc.). Use and improve automated dashboards for reporting.Work closely with the Engineering / product team to ensure automation of the Production processes.Communicate effectively with various Business & IT teams. Collaborate effectively with global members to achieve desired outcomes.Work during office hours, provide on-call / weekend support on rotation / need basis.Ensure adherence to different SLAs. Work with engineering teams to improve response times to business, improve system performance, fix repeated incidents etc.Understand monitoring tools and evolve the tooling to improve the Operations teams' ability to proactively deal with production issues.Comply with audit, data protection & IT Security procedures to ensure integrity of the system.Find ways to reduce incident toil.RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:2-7 years of overall IT experience with Java, PLSQL, MQ, Big Data, Qlik View, BI Tools (Qlik and Power BI), Hadoop etc.Knowledge of technologies running Java based applications in LINUX/UNIX environment.Sound knowledge of PL/SQL, Oracle, Unix, shell scripting, Scheduling tools like Control-M, monitoring tools like App Dynamics/Splunk.Knowledge of Juniper, Airflow and Control-M scheduling tools.Knowledge of IBM Websphere Application Server, IBM's Infosphere Information Server and IBM's Master Data Management platform, Websphere MQ.Open to work in shifts / non-regular hours / weekends as per business requirements.Should be open to learn new technologies based on project requirements.Bachelors of Engineering preferred.Experience of being a team player of a diverse global team.Hands-on experience and sound understanding of HSBC and ITIL processes and standards.ITIL Foundation certification preferred.Proven experience of working in Run The Bank / Production support teams.Knowledge and understanding of Banking domain and IT Infrastructure is preferred.Ability to prioritise and work independently within a diverse team environment.Good to have knowledge of Google Cloud Platform
