Project Buyer (Power Plant Construction) About the Role Location Mexico Queretaro Santiago de Queretaro Remote vs. Office Hybrid (Remote/Office) Company Siemens Inmobiliaria de Organization Grid Technologies Business Unit Service Full / Part time Full-time Experience Level Experienced Professional A Snapshot of Your Day (position overview) On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for managing the cost-effective supply of materials & services in line with company processes based on customer requirements, while maintaining quality and on-time delivery standards. Internally, you will provide excellent detail-oriented customer service to our Order Winning, Operations, Project Management, Engineering and Finance teams.
How You'll Make an Impact (responsibilities) . Purchase order management, including tracking/expediting to ensure a cost-efficient supply of materials in line with demand. Support Order Winning enquiries in an efficient manner. Coordinate with suppliers to meet operational/customer requirements and ensure clear communication & escalation of risks to relevant stakeholders. Develop relationships with key suppliers. Monitor supplier delivery, invoices, invoice inquiries, quality performance and address performance issues with suppliers as necessary. Demonstrate strong customer focus by handling requests in a timely manner & to a high standard. Communicate efficiently and professionally with internal and external stakeholders. Actively seek process optimization and improvement opportunities in relevant areas ( MoQ optimization, bundling of purchase orders, etc.) Proactively prevent and manage quality defects with each supplier. Comply with Company policies at all times, for example, Business Conduct Guidelines and Confidential Information. What You Bring (requirements) A minimum of a bachelor's degree or equivalent in a Business, Procurement, or Supply Chain. A minimum of 8 years of experience required within Procurement & Supply Chain. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Skilled in Microsoft office products (Power Point, Word and Excel). Experience with SAP is desirable. Must be customer focused and a collaborative team player. Possess the ability to assess priorities, demonstrate flexibility and understand sense of urgency.
