Overview:
The **Project Controller** leads all financial administration and fiscal management aspects of a project, ensuring that all team members, including Project Manager, Superintendent, and Engineer are following Company's financial policies and procedures, and communicating any potential profitability or risk to management.
**Responsibilities**:
- Hands on financial reporting responsibilities of the project
- Responsible and Accountable for all the actions of the Accounting project team
- Responsible and Accountable for analyzing and communicating the WIP every month
- Manage contracts, amendments (additives and deductive), insurance, bonds (Compliance), SOV, Files, and Co Policies, billings on time
- Work with project team to mitigate financial risk
- Ensure accuracy and completion of project forecast
- Ensure timely management of accounts receivable and payables
- Develop and maintain positive professional relationships both internally & externally
- Responsible and Accountable for ensure all work is always completed and stored within Company's data systems
- Assist in the financial closing process
- Provide suggestions to Business Manager for improving efficiencies of work activities to boost productivity and accuracy of deliverables
Qualifications:
**EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION**
- BA/BS degree in Accounting or related field
- 8+ years' accounting experience required
- Large international company and public accounting firm experience preferred
- Expertise with both US GAAP and IFRS
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) and multicultural preferred
**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES**
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate well and work with both international and domestic personnel
- Aware of topics associated with setting up and administering foreign operations from a multinational organization perspective preferred
- Experience with multi-currency preferred
- Construction industry experience preferred
