With its products, the company contributes to reducing emissions, protecting the climate and enhancing safe mobility.**Project Engineer**:- Country/Region: MX- Location: Ramos Arizpe, COA, MX, 25900Req ID 61983 Ramos Arizpe, Mexico**Position Summary**Development, implementation, and optimization of new projects, including production layout, machinery, and tooling, with a focus on meeting budget and timing objectives.**Responsibilities**:- Development and implementation of new projects considering the production layout, process flow, machines and tooling required, installation start up, and optimization according to budget and timing.- Planning and monitoring of key milestones for projects implementation.- Design machinery and production lines for a smooth process flow.- Evaluate the operation of new machines and tooling according to specification and product requirements.- Define the sequence of operations for forming new products for the press area, as well as providing support to external customers and suppliers.- Define and provide the 2D and 3D geometries of the preforms or sub-operations to the tooling design area as a starting point in the definition of the tooling.- Define the technical characteristics that a press needs to carry out the optimal operation of the forming processes.- Develop savings and cost reduction projects, through the simulation and optimization of the forming processes of the press area.- Processes optimization to achieve the required SPCs.- Ensure coverage of planned production volumes with installed capacity for the respective production unit.- Ensure optimized equipment utilization.- Capacity, floorspace & investment planning and forecast.- Capex & Budget Management.- Conduct machine and tooling purchasing process.- Support standardization of production processes.- Drive Continuous Improvement Process (CIP).- Support DFMA Analysis.- Conduct FMEA planning within process engineering.- Support Footprint Analysis and Customer Quotation Projects.- Training & Qualification Planning for new production lines.**Qualifications**:- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.- Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and coworkers from US and Germany.- Knowledge and/or experience with the following manufacturing processes: sheet metal stamping, deburring, sheet metal cutting, automatic inserting, brazing.- Line balancing & ergonomics.- 2+ years of professional experience in a manufacturing environment- Good understanding of relevant products & manufacturing processes- Working knowledge of the GDPEP process- Project Management skills- Fluent in English language**What we offer**Benefits above the law.Major Medical Expenses Insurance.Global growth opportunities.Competitive Wages.**What does DEI (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion) mean for ZF as a company?**:At ZF, we continuously strive to build and maintain a culture where inclusiveness is lived and diversity is valued.
