**WHY HONEYWELL?**Honeywell changes the way the world works.For more than 130 years, we have solved the toughest customer challenges through a rare combination of our industrial expertise and our innovations in groundbreaking software and technology, and industry-leading automation.This perfection is built on a foundation of inclusion, diversity and driving a performance culture that values integrity and ethics.Are you ready to help us make the future?**ABOUT THE ROLE**The Project Engineer II is responsible for Planning, Execution follow up and KPI reporting of cost-reduction initiatives on the mechanical Personal Protective product portfolio aligned to the assigned Gold Business Enterprise (GBE).This requires extensive coordination, negotiation, and partnering with Engineering, Program Management, and other functions within the Integrated Supply Chain.**RESPONSIBILITIES**- Participate in mechanical Value Engineering and strategic cost-takeout projects aligned with business and GBE plans.- Provide technical support to current Value Engineering & Component Engineering projects in execution to improve product cost, producibility, and yield.- Aligns with Materials Management to achieve synergies in cost-takeout efforts to ensure that strategic business roadmaps are followed.- Develop short, medium- and long-term projects through deep dives and supplier workshops to maintain a portfolio of potential projects to support AOP and STRAP planning.- Develop and maintain required reporting templates and tools to support project reviews, Management Operating Reviews, and clearinghouses as needed.- Work closely with manufacturing and sourcing, engineering, program managers, and customer business team to maximize the return on investment of the projects.- Translate customer and business needs into actionable product requirements.**MUST HAVE**:- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Mechanical Design, Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering.- 1+ years' experience on Mechanical Design Projects.- Materials Science experience or knowledge.- Advanced English.- Experience or Knowledge in Project Management or willing to learn about it.**WE VALUE**:- Mechanical Engineering focused.- Extensive relevant manufacturing engineering experience.- Experience performing product manufacturing cost analysis.- Ability to understand and establish priorities in a complex and demanding environment.- Work in a matrix environment with a focus on building relationships and driving improvements over multiple locations.- Experience with SAP - Intermediate.- Proficiency with MS Office Suite.- Team Center experience.- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.- A self-starter who takes the initiative, is well organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.- Possess a positive attitude and professional image with impeccable business ethics.- A change agent with excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.**Additional Information**:- ** JOB ID**:HRD215741- ** Category**:Engineering- ** Location**:Av.
