Purpose Statement: Responsible end-to-end for the quality and delivery of Plexus manufacturing costing information. Team leadership of the costing team is a critical responsibility and integration/teamwork with the applicable sector team is a must. The Costing Project Manager should take the lead in identifying and developing the lowest total cost manufacturing solution to Plexus and the customer.
- Key Job Accountabilities:
- Leads the development of total cost solutions for customer in terms of manufacturing, materials, test and logistics costs. Develop manufacturing service solutions to obtain lowest total cost to Plexus.
- Team with the Account Executives, Director of Manufacturing Solutions and Supply Chain Solutions Manager to interface with the customer regarding costing issues for manufacturing, test, configure-to-order, build-to-order and direct order fulfillment services.
- Manages all customer costing project requirements, cost team members, milestone meetings and Plexus deliverables on the customer due date.
- Review proposals in-process and completed to ensure no errors were made in costing, or content.
- Additional Accountabilities:
- Ensure Plexus solution meets customer request (may also include other options beyond customer request).
- Escalate issues to senior management regarding schedule delays, resource priorities, or other barriers to completing the project on time.
- Represent the costing function at customer meetings, costing kickoff meetings and executive cost review meetings.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects related to costing processes and tools.
- Take on the responsibilities of the Manufacturing Cost Specialist or other team members when necessary.
- Frequent travel may be required to meet the needs of the business (estimated 25%).

- Education/Experience Qualifications:
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, or Business is required; a Master's level coursework is preferred_._
- Three (3) years of related experience is required; Two (2) or more years of related experience is preferred.
- Project Management and Financial experience is a plus.
- Electronics Manufacturing experience is a plus.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities may be considered.Other Qualifications:
- Strong negotiation & analytic skills.
- Computer literacy in MRP, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project are essential.
- Extensive global travel is required for this position.
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage several projects at a time.
- General office equipment and materials.
