Avertium has an opportunity available for a Project Manager to support our Professional Services team. Primary responsibilities are being an advocate and liaison for client(s) managed as part of assigned portfolio, as well as internal resources and Avertium as a whole; project management, risk analysis and reporting; and internal / external communications.
**Responsibilities**:
- Manage day-to-day client interaction, relationship and expectations for a portfolio of small to large projects
- Meet with clients to confirm and clarify specific requirements of each project
- Coordinate internal resources for the flawless execution of projects
- Supervise progress on task and deliverable development and completion through the project life cycle
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
- Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks
- Facilitate the flow of information to and from the client regarding the project, escalating whenever appropriate
- Review high-level deliverables across projects
- Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
- Delegate project tasks based on junior staff members' individual strengths, skill sets and experience levels
- Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members
- Report and escalate to management as needed
- Use and continually develop leadership skills
- Attend conferences and training as required to maintain proficiency
- Perform other related duties as assigned
**Other Duties**:
- Participate in all weekly project management team meetings.
- Act as a liaison between service delivery and sales regarding all project status issues.
**Qualifications**:
- Minimum three years of Project Management or five years Project Coordination experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, IT, or related field
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus
- Ability to sense, respond to, and appropriately escalate risk and/or change impacting a project
- Proven project schedule development and management experience
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven experience with people management, risk management and change management
- Ability to be proactive and independent, as well as interdependent on the team when necessary
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
- Solid problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Proven aptitude with project management software including MS Project
- Experience with SharePoint preferred
- Experience in cybersecurity industry preferred
