**Project Manager**
**Job summary**
You are responsible for managing the lifecycle of a complex cross-functional program with considerable impact. Your program may focus on a single product in a critical technology area or you may work more broadly, managing larger initiatives that span organizations or geographies in support of a larger business objective. You may also be responsible for the delivery of large and complex projects that may or may not be tied to a larger program. You may be assigned to manage the roadmap for an organization and ownership of one or more organizational goals. As a senior technology program owner, you are accountable for the overall strategy as well as driving teams inside and outside your organization to deliver. You are able to define the program (mission, vision, tenets), set objectives, analyze data, drive improvements that are quantified with metrics, and influence resource allocation. You understand the systems in your product or program space, their limitations, scaling factors, boundary conditions, and reasons behind architectural decisions
Responsibilities include:
- Manages the lifecycle of complex cross-functional technology initiatives.
- Work is tactical and strategic. Unblocks teams and increases the speed of delivery.
- Negotiates resources and priorities. Escalates effectively. Able to find a path forward in difficult situations.
- Makes trade-offs between short-term needs vs. long-term needs. Actively mentors/develops others.
- Works with business and engineering teams to develop program roadmaps and determine which projects move forward in what priority order
- Works across multiple engineering and product teams to ensure dependencies and milestones are aligned
- Creates development plans, communicates progress and outcomes
- Coordinates with content security and engineering to ensure product meets security requirements
- Manages CPRs and Scrum ceremonies, coordinates with product and engineering teams to ensure latest updates across program are tracked and communicated
- Tracks launch activities
**Basic qualifications**
- 3+ yrs. TPM experience.
- Has 3-5 years M&E experience managing digital media supply chain programs
- Understands risks caused by technical complexity.
- Able to drive simplification and efficiency in existing engineering and architectures to unblock innovation and speed of delivery.
- Streamlines and eliminates excess process. Creates predictable process paths.
- Experience taking a lead role in managing complex software systems.
- Collaborated with cross-functional teams including communicating with other technical teams, product management, and senior management.
- Experience with agile methodologies (SCRUM, Kanban) and project management tools (JIRA, Asana, etc).
- You understand technical program management and engineering best practices.
**Preferred qualifications**
- Experience with Media & Entertainment and/or enterprise software development.
**Job Type**: Contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: $336.77 - $387.20 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
