Business Sweden, The Swedish Trade & Invest Council, is seeking a highly motivated and result-oriented Project Manager (in Management/Strategy Consulting).
As a team, we advise both large and mid-sized companies, as well as start-ups, on capturing growth opportunities in Mexico, Central America & the Caribbean, working closely with other offices across the continent.
As a Project Manager at Business Sweden in Mexico, your primary focus will be to drive sales, lead teams, and work closely with our clients in Mexico, Central America & the Caribbean.
Furthermore, you will be responsible for building strong client relationships, planning, managing and driving analytical work, ensuring that insights and recommendations are well underpinned and packaged in an easy-to-understand and concrete manner.
Scoping and selling consultancy projects and services to our clients will also be a fundamental part of the work.
You will proactively find new business opportunities and drive insight selling in the region for clients, as well as having an active role in developing our value propositions.
The role includes both strategic, tactic and operational responsibilities such as:

- **Project Management**: Plan, manage, and deliver business promotion and advisory projects together with engagement teams.
- **Consulting Methodology**: Deploy and utilise effective methods for project research and analysis to ensure that project objectives are met on time and within budget.
- **Performance Tracking**: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) for projects to measure impact and effectiveness.
- **Program Strategy**: Plan and execute government-financed programs designed to support sustainable business growth in developing markets.
- **Team Utilisation**: Co-manage project allocation and resource planning with the manager, ensuring optimal utilisation of team members.
- **Stakeholder Engagement**: Develop and manage relationships with government agencies, authorities, NGOs, companies, and other stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
- **Business Development**: Support internal project pipeline and sales efforts, engaging with and developing project proposals for potential clients.
- **Cross-functional Collaboration**: Collaborate closely with global teams and practice groups to ensure effective project delivery.
- **Capacity Building**: Support the development of internal capacity, including staying updated on industry best practices, emerging trends, and innovative approaches, and incorporating them into organisational strategies and initiatives.
You report to the Country Manager and the role is based in Mexico City, but you will be expected to work with our teams and clients around the world, as required.
Business Sweden has more than 40 offices spanning over 37 countries and offers a dynamic work environment.
The global presence opens doors for cross-staffing projects, fostering collaboration with a diverse range of colleagues and exposure to a multitude of international markets.
We also work as one Americas team with offices in several locations, meaning we work with colleagues and projects across the continent.

**Formal requirements**
- Relevant degree(s) in business management and/or other relevant fields.
- At least 5-6 years of relevant experience in management consulting or other advisory services focused on business development.
- Professional experience in Mexico is a must.
- Experience in leading and coaching consultant teams with a proven track record of successfully leading nation
