Burns & McDonnell is actively recruiting a Project Manager to join this segment of our growing business.
The Project Manager will manage a variety of Mission Critical projects of varying complexity.
This position will manage and act as a coordinator and project liaison to the Client, contractors, vendors, sub-consultants, and other stakeholders throughout the project.
The Project Manager will establish and maintain document control, manage databases and coordinate and track project activities and communications to ensure project goals are accomplished within the prescribed timeframe and budget parameters.
Responsibilities -Manage projects across global practices and engineering disciplines for Design-only and/or EPC projects.
- Interface and collaborate with other Project Managers and Client Managers across the organization.
- Plan, organize and direct engineering projects across all aspects, including the overall safety, cost, schedule and quality of assigned projects.
- Interface regularly with Client.
- Ensure that the project review process and other quality control guidelines are followed.
Establish project teams, coordinate activities of multiple disciplines, and ensure the efficient, cost-effective utilization of staff and subcontractors.
- Administer request for proposal (RFP) packages, bid and selection processes, and develop detailed scope of work documents for downstream contracts.
- Manage contractors' submittals, requests for information, supplemental design instructions, and site drawing logs.
- Verify contractor compliance, including quality, safety, environmental and material management programs.
- Execute contracts, including change order management/field change directives, approval of invoices, and management of schedules.
- Utilize project controls, including project cost reporting, scheduling, project work breakdown structure establishment, project set-up and closeout within the accounting system, and field progress tracking.
- Develop internal and external reports including project budgeting, cost reports, project cash flow forecast, and project status reports and distribute to all stakeholders.
- Participate in internal and external project risk reviews and consult with Legal Department as required.
- Close out contract and project documentation.
- Inform design teams on local codes and best practices.
- Adhere to Burns & McDonnell's safety programs, trainings, and policies, as well as promote and manage the Safety & Health performance of project team members and subcontractors.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Controls or related degree and 7 years of applicable Importante empresa.
- EPC project Importante empresa preferred.
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish required.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced, demanding work environment.
Ability to work overtime when requested.
- Able to ensure deliverables are being developed in accordance with schedule, prioritizing tasks to achieve common goals.
- Able to analyze potential risks to the schedule or cost schedule and develop risk mitigation strategies.
- Team management with the ability to effectively delegate responsibilities, handle conflicts, evaluate performances and coach team members.
- Expert software and computer skills required including AutoCAD, BIM (Revit), 3D Coordination Programs, and Importante empresa Professional Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

- Importante empresa with Procore, Aconex, Primavera Contract Manager or similar management software is preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively with others (Owner's, Contractors, Project Managers, Engineers and Designers) in a multi-discipline project team environment to resolve design or construction issues as appropriate to accomplish objectives.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Must be capable of devising new approaches to problems encountered.
- Previous consulting Importante empresa preferred.

- Familiarity with multiple building systems/disciplines and those systems and components.
- Ability to travel, locally and internationally.
