**Position Summary**:Quality Engineer is responsible for supporting the assigned product launches at Plant level. Lead Plant APQP activities on product launches and significant product changes. Lead Safe Launch tracking and reporting for assigned product launches.**Essential Functions**:- Create and Maintain prototype and quality documentation.- Lead completion of Gage R&R's, capability studies, & analysis of new equipment, gages, & testers during new assembly line introduction.- Lead completion of Customer PPAP and company IPA.- For complex non-routine issues, provide leadership in developing and implementing corrective actions. Lead shop floor implementation team and ensure all PDC launch activities are completed.- Work with PDC teams to ensure timely completion of APQP activities.- Support PSA Activities and procedures with team members.- Perform all those activities that by the nature of the position are required.- Support PSA Activities and procedures with team members.- Perform all those activities that by the nature of the position are required.**Management & Supervisory Responsibilities**:- Report to PPAP and Project Quality Lead.- Job is NOT directly responsible for managing other employees (e.G., hiring/termination and/or pay decisions, performance management).**Knowledge**:- Working knowledge on product transfers.- APQP.- Core Tools.- Automotive/Trucking Industry Quality requirements and standards are a plus.**Experience**:- 1-3 years of experience in an engineering environment.**Skills**:- Solid experience in a technical field such as Quality Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering.- High level of energy, enthusiasm, and optimism, as well as a sense of urgency and passion for excellence.- Capable of working in a team environment with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.- Strong problem-solving skills.- Project planning and follow-up skills are essential.- Ability to build strong customer relationships.- Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).- Must be fluent in English**Education/Certifications**:- BS/BSET degree required in Manufacturing, Process or Mechanical Engineering.- Working knowledge of Automotive/Trucking Industry Quality requirements and standards is a plus.- Six Sigma Black or Green Belt certified a plus.Tipo de puesto: Por tiempo indeterminadoSalario: $33,000.00 - $44,000.00 al mesIdioma:- Inglés Avanzado (Obligatorio)
