Determines system specifications, input/output processes and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility. Coordinates design of subsystems and integration of total system. Identifies, analyzes and resolves program support deficiencies. Develops and recommends corrective actions. Provides customer support through the performance of on-site installation, as well as overseeing any necessary diagnoses, troubleshooting, service, and repair of complex equipment and systems. Checks out and approves operational quality of system equipment. Instructs customers in the operation and maintenance of the system. Networks with senior internal/external personnel in own area of expertise.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:- Functional- Analyzes customer's requirements to determine the optimal process control/safety system solution and determines applicable control configuration/architecture.- Performs conceptual process control systems design, determination of process control/safety system strategy.- Supports Project Engineer with the analysis of customer's requirements to determine the optimal process control/safety system solution and applicable control / safety system component selection.- Updates project engineer regarding status of activities, performance according to schedule and budget- Provides on-site commissioning and start-up as required.- Leadership- Participate with plan, schedule for projects including setting and managing time-scales and budgets.- Provide verbal and written reports to communicate project status as required and contribute to project review meetings.- Visit internal/external panel manufacturing facilities to assess progress, provide technical assistance and for final inspection and sign off.- Coordinates work package execution with remote or third-party resources, reviews quality of work and ensures compliance to customers' requirements.- Interpersonal- Client liaison and interface with management
