.The Project Specialist 2 performs relatively complex assignments. Has direct impact on the business by ensuring the quality of the tasks or services provided. Works under little to no direct supervision. May service an expansive and/or diverse array of products/services. Applies working knowledge of technical and professional principles and concepts and in depth knowledge of team objectives. Understands how assigned duties contribute to the work of the team/unit and how the units coordinate their efforts and resources to achieve the objectives of the function. Ensures the quality and service of self and others. May recommend new options to enhance productivity in accordance with guidelines. Requires tact and diplomacy when exchanging complex or sensitive information with others. Is sensitive to audience diversity. Basic knowledge of the organization, the business and its policies required. Typically responsible for resolving basic to moderately complex problems based on practice and precedence. Able to assess applicability of similar experiences and evaluate options under circumstances not covered by procedures.**Responsibilities**:- Assists the senior project manager, project manager and project team in the management of the project, including the planning, coordination and support of the day today activities of running a project, project or portfolio of projects.- Primary ownership and management of a component of a project.- Assists in management of the project schedule.- Compiles or updates project documents, such as the status report and risk/issues log, and providing support on vendor management.- Supports management of project documents, including status report, risk/issues log, project charter, and schedule- Supports vendor management, i.E. invoicing, cost tracking, charge backs.- Coordinates and supports meetings with project stakeholders.- Supports with other team functions such as ownership of support mailbox, distribution lists, etc.- Directs reporting to project manager or senior project manager; coordination with project team members; interface with sector representatives, steering committee members, vendor and finance, as needed.- Conducts routine operational or administrative work.- Day-to-day actions are focused on administering defined procedures, analysis and report preparation.- Individuals will have their work thoroughly reviewed and checked by more senior incumbents and will have limited contact outside their immediate area
