As a member of the project core team, this position will work with all discipline teams including engineering, purchasing, SQM and program management with the responsibility of supporting sourcing activities for new product launch, resolving supplier quality topics and keeping supplier deliverables on schedule to meet the project milestones.The position offers excellent career development opportunities of problem solving and project management in a multifunctional team environment.**Job description**:- Leading voice within core project team on supplier quality topics during a new product launch process.- Ensuring the best practice supplier selection process is followed during the project sourcing proces.- Supporting new business acquisitions by selecting the highest quality and most reliable suppliers.- Working closely with the R&D team on the design, specification releases and providing support on supplier related topics.- Partnering with R&D and purchasing to develop design and to drive the supplier to meet both quality and cost target- Closely monitoring supplier APQP progress and being proactive on issue escalation and risk mitigation plan implementation with both project and SQM teams during product development process.- Following up on open topics during sourcing phases and ensuring their closure on time.- Supporting the project team and driving problem solving process with the supplier during new product launch phases.- Identifying High risk component and supporting the Early Supplier Involvement with R&D and purchasing teams.- Ensuring smooth transition from product development to production phases within SQM organization.**Job requirements**:- English communication skills across all levels of an organization.- Experienced with the new product launch process.- Experienced with automotive industry practice, like FMEA, Six Sigma, 8D and APQP process for instance.- Experienced with problem solving process (Green Belt Certification is plus).- Knowledge on ISO, VDA and IATF certification.- Good project management skills.- Engineering degree in mechanical, electrical engineering or equivalent is required.- 7-10 years of working experience in R&D, project management or supplier management.- Willing to travel up to 25% of the time.**Working Time**: Full time**Business Unit**: VT Purchasing**Department**: VT PUR Plants**Your Contact Partner**: CAROLINA GILVitesco Technologies is a leading international developer and manufacturer of state-of-the-art powertrain technologies for sustainable mobility
