.**A Snapshot of Your Day**:As a Bid Manager you will play a key role in the preparation of Technical and Commercial Proposals for New Equipment. You will also be involved in supporting the organization in deal closing and Client opportunity discussions.**How You'll Make an Impact**:- Develop Siemens Energy equipment selections using company aerodynamic, thermodynamic, rotor-dynamic, and material selection tools- Contribute or lead Bid Strategy discussions for new turbo opportunities, providing input on technical and value advantages of Siemens Energy product and service offerings.- Prepare Buyout RFQs, engage and negotiate with major sub-Suppliers (e.G. Motors, VFDs, Lube Oil Systems, Seal Gas Panels, Static Process Equipment, etc.) to create mutually beneficial Client solutions- Work with the Regional Coordination Group, Operation-based departments, shared services (e.G., Finance, Credit), Project Scheduling, and the Field Service organization, as required, in order to identify and quantify risks, develop mitigating actions to those risks, prepare the technical/execution risk assessment form- Advises integration of technical activities, products and services, including vendor supplied equipment/services in regional proposals in a timely manner to meet proposal deadlines- Coordinate the Cost Analysis and Prepare Pricing and cash flows.- Ensure that the Technical and Commercial proposals in response to client inquiries meet Siemens Energy' standards for quality, completeness and timeliness- Coordinate and participate in client clarification meetings and discussions- Participate and own the internal kick-off meetings and client kick-off meetings- Support the Sales Manager with project or product presentations, including value propositions- Understand the competition's products & offerings- Conducts business affairs with the highest standards of ethics and integrity**What You Bring**:- Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Petrochemical or Chemical Engineering Degree from an accredited higher education institution or equivalent work experience, with at least 3 years of experience in a relevant role. Those with more experience may be considered for a higher level.- Relevant roles include Application Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Process Engineer, Design Engineer, Project Engineer, Commissioning/Field Engineer, with a concentration in turbo- machinery or related rotating equipment - e.G., Centrifugal Compressors, Steam Turbines, etc.- Possess a keen awareness and appreciation for internal and external Clients.- Must be able to travel up to 20% globally to support project presentation, bid clarification, training, and kick-off meetings.- Proficiency with Microsoft suite of programs and select engineering programs- ** Proficient in English****Preferred Skills/Knowledge/Experience**:- OEM/LNG or EPC experience- Understanding of pricing, costing and equipment selection.- Knowledge of commercial or technical bidding or quoting.- International experience
