**Job Description**:
The Proposal Specialist is a highly visible position working with key Rockwell Automation stakeholders and customers to develop commercial offers within the framework of the company's strategic business and financial goals, ensuring compliance with internal policies. You will need a general understanding and knowledge of all our solution capabilities, partners, and competitors in their designated solution space. Leverage this knowledge and engage with other key team consultants as necessary to fulfill scope requirements. Solve any complex concerns or issues that may arise by navigating internal organization and processes, as well as Rockwell Automation resources. For a successful outcome, you'll take a lead or supporting role to ensure all content and estimates are in order for a comprehensive proposal that meets the scope.

**Responsibilities**:
Strategic Business Skills/Technical Expertise:

- Employ commercial and technical skills while tapping your creative side to maximize Rockwell profit and growth opportunities
- Filter opportunities to pursue, as well as provide input to increasing successes through our Win Strategy process
- Negotiate internally and externally leveraging a sound understanding of cost, value, and profit margin to establish pricing with approvals
- Approve costs, pricing, margins, and other commercial terms within your delegation of authority
- Convincingly articulate our value message and business models in many scenarios and situations, including through direct sales channels or through distributors.
- Support proposals with customers while instilling confidence in the proposed solution
- Follow all applicable corporate, company, governmental and regulatory policies, and procedures as appropriate for this position
- Engage with sales and customers to follow up on proposals

Understand and manage project reviews including risk analysis

Exceptional Collaboration and Management Skills:

- Work in a cross-functional environment - both commercially and technically - and engage with other Proposal Specialists, Application Consultants, Sales/Distributors, Channel Partners, RA Business Units, Contracts and Negotiations and other key stakeholders as required
- Be proficient in obtaining approvals in compliance with Rockwell policies including executive level (PARB) approvals
- Coordinate and manage legal terms and conditions as needed to support proposal delivery terms, which includes interfacing with the C&N legal and contracts team, third-party, and customers, as needed
- Maintain proposal and other tools on a regular basis as opportunities evolve to support automation of important activities (e.g., forecasting) and facilitate timely opportunity management without the need to ensure data quality while being available at any time
- Actively seek out and participate in continuous improvement through feedback and training opportunities that will address identified gaps and further strengthen required skills

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or similar
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country where the position is assigned. No sponsorship is being offered with this role.
