As the Head of Public Affairs of Edenred Benefits in Mexico, your role will be to build a structured and systematized public affairs approach to anticipate the political and regulatory changes, adapt our products to stakeholders' evolving needs and develop new solutions to address emerging socio-economic challenges. More precisely, we expect from the candidate to build strategies and action plans to defend and promote the positive social impact of our solutions and be a driving force behind proposals aiming at improving the legal framework of our existing solutions or creating a favorable framework for the development of new benefits (home office, holiday). To achieve these objectives and have a stronger voice when dealing with the external stakeholders, Edenred can rely on the industry association (ASEVAL). As the leader on our market, we have a crucial role to play in this association and one of the key missions of this position is to assure full alignment between Edenred and the association regarding the strategy and the actions to be put in place. We are currently seeking talent for HEAD OF PUBLIC AFFAIRS Missions: Design, implement and handle the short- and long-term PA activities of the company being the adviser of the GM and the referent for BEMEX regarding Public Affairs topics. Promote and defend BEMEX, together with the GM, being the spokesperson for the company toward the government and other institutions. Promote the positive socioeconomic impact of Edenred's solutions towards external stakeholders by developing partnerships, participating to projects or events aligned with our vision, and by developing dedicated tools (macroeconomic studies, surveys, position papers, others) and selecting and managing the relationship with external advisors, partners and providers (public affairs agency, lawyers, macroeconomists…). Create and feed the relationship with representatives in the key government bodies, NGO's, regulators as well as all other stakeholders who are involved in the activity (i.e. trade unions / associations, academy, think tanks, journalists, civil society groups, international organizations representations and all participating parties) Confidential – Edenred. Identify, assess and leverage from key enablers / factors to influence the decision makers in order to implement regulatory changes turning into opportunities to unleash the full potential of the business. Attend, in coordination with the GM, meetings and actions organized in the industry association and influence them towards a PA strategy aligned with the company. The key responsibilities are: Monitor and follow up related context (legislative, economic, social, political, cultural) and analyze publications and information to anticipate decisions that may impact BEMEX. Map out and proactively engage key stakeholders. Design a PA strategy and execute the action plan (short, mid and long term). In coordination with the PA agency, write position papers, design adapted tools and supporting documents to communicate with the different stakeholders. Translate company's positions into messages that will be adapted to the relevant audience • Pilot additional studies and/or research when needed. Participate/initiate working groups and official meetings, including high level and represent the company during conferences. Build and promote strategic partnerships and alliances with different stakeholders Coordinate and report all PA activities with the GM, the Hispanic America Benefits Director and the Business Line. Analyze opportunities and contribute to business development, coordinate with the marketing, development, communication and legal departments. Be the referent for any public affairs topics within the company and towards the industry association. Profile & Skills Minimum 8 years of experience in government relations or related areas. Experience of Public Affairs in companies or Public Affairs Consulting industry. PR and media experiences is a plus. (Master) Degree in Political sciences, law, economy, journalism, or communication Fluent in English. Strong interest in institutional affairs and strategic communication. Excellent communication skills as well as consensus building skills. Dynamic, reliable, resilient, independent, creative and strongly solution-minded.
