.Leads the development of new Software Solutions and Services using Cloud Software development techniques. The Software Cloud Engineering team leads the design, build, and managemenet of Cloud Systems and Infrastructure including Software, Services, and Solutions designed for flexibility, scalability, and resiliency to support current and future business needs in an automated, repeatable way.**Responsibilities**:- Plays a critical role in building of various opinionated cloud environments and platforms while aligning them with business and security strategies and requirements.- Leads the building of standards, designs, and automates the deployment of software in cloud environments.- Design and develop solutions that protect and manage cloud native apps and data.- Assists in the creation of technology strategy and engineering roadmaps around cloud platforms.- Partners with DevOps to develop tooling and infrastructure for cloud development and cloud operations use cases, with a focus on microservices deployment and distributed systems monitoring and fault analysis.- Evaluates new and emerging cloud and web technologies for incorporation into existing systems. Considers maturity of new technology and change management of existing cloud infrastructure to make the best recommendations.**Knowledge & Skills**:- Demonstrated mastery with respect to distributed/cloud computing and knowledge in virtualization technologies, cloud infrastructure, cloud solutions, systems/microservice architecture, and design.- Industry leading expertise and insights on cloud technologies including but not limited to design, programming, and data structures.- Expertise as it relates to knowledge of Software and Cloud design patterns and principles.- Strong experience and preference for agile SW development methodologies, and a DevSecOps approach to code deployment and maintenance.**Scope & Impact**:- Viewed as a thought leader by peers across functions.- Directly influences department strategy with respect to cloud engineering initiatives.- Decisions significantly affect the quality, delivery, and success of department projects with impact of decisions lasting up to a year.**Complexity**:- High: Extensive cross-functional/cross-organizational senior management interface; deals with complex strategic issues.- Provides highly innovative solutions.
