Minimum of two (2) years experience is preferred, with purchasing negotiations, cost structures & contracts.Location: García (MTY)Main Functions:Negotiate or renew supplier agreements to purchase critical materials, parts components, tooling or services for DTNA production on assigned commodities.Manage supplier relationships, including long-term strategic partnerships with commitments for preferred production pricing to differentiate DTNA in the marketplace.Create and implement CoMeT Measures to report efficiencies or risks initiatives to ensure ANP. Support and monitor results reporting through global business systems.Evaluate alternate materials, methods, technologies and suitable suppliers as necessary to bring best-in-class product offerings and cost structure for DTNA.Participate in cross-functional teams for new product introductions, continuous cost improvement and engineering, supply management or warranty problem-solving initiatives.Utilize and improve current analytical tools for cost development, in order to simplify and maintain competitive baselines for DTNA platforms/products.Support Materials Planning, Quality, Production, Supplier Management departments, etc., when there is a material issue related to the suppliers, in order to ensure that all material requested for DTNA production will be delivered within lead time & quality.Perform necessary activities within the Procurement department in order to contribute to Quality & Environmental certifications, Daimler Code of Conduct (Integrity Code)
