- Adhere to all relevant guidelines and regulations, ensuring the procurement processes adhere to all legal and regulatory standards. - Drive continuous improvement of supply chain logistics. - Provide leadership to implement, streamline, and automate the Source to Pay processes and systems. - Respond to inquiries from Sourcing, Legal and internal business clients related to contracts and overall end to end supply chain activities. - Develop, establish and Implement purchasing strategies, purchasing policies and procedures. - Manage daily purchasing activities, supervising staff, and allocating tasks. - Develop, maintain and adjust buyers standard work as needed to achieve great execution. - Coordinate with Inventory Control and Planning to determine and manage inventory needs. - Ensure all procured items meet the required quality standards and specifications. - Hire and develop training material for current and new staff. - Establish guidelines for purchase agreements, blanket orders, contracts, among other purchasing strategies in collaboration with Sourcing Team. - Evaluate quality, reliability, technical support and availability of goods and services. - Work with the Sourcing Team to address supply constraints and issues. - Coordinates removal or disposal of surplus materials through - Review purchase orders for proper authorization and compliance with organizational policy and procedures - Develop and manage purchasing budgets and forecasts. - Monitor and reduce purchase variances to meet profit objectives. - Produce regular reports on purchase commitments, costs and delivery performance. - Oversee the operations and daily activities of the purchasing department. - Manage performance, develop and motivate purchasing staff. - Monitor supplier and vendor compliance with contractual agreements. - Measure and manage the vendor and supplier cost, quality and delivery performance. - Oversee supplier compliance with internal quality standards and external regulations. - Troubleshoot cost, quality and delivery concerns.
Experiência y requisitos
- Bachelor's Degree in administration, logistics, supply chain, engineering or related field. - Proven work experience as Purchasing and Materials Manager of at least 5 years for multisite organization. - Extensive experience managing category strategy for direct sourcing and procurement, deploying procurement strategies with a proven record of inventory control and reduction, and implementing continuous improvement processes. - Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking abilities. - Expertise with sourcing, procurement and vendor management. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office word, powerpoint, excel, and outlook. - Thorough understanding of procurement methodologies. - Sound time-management and organizational skills. - Continuous improvement and team player. - Comfortable onboarding, collaborating, and decision making. - Outstanding project management, negotiation, and leadership skills. - Ability to work independently. - Strong Planning and organizational skills. - Knowledge of procurement software and tools.
