El Paso Tx.PURCHASING DIRECTOR**This position manages global purchasing for all of STRATTEC facilities****Objective**:Responsible for developing and leading strategic supply chain management, sourcing strategies, contract negotiations, vendor-managed inventory programs, and strategic vendor performance reviews.**Qualifications**:- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Business, or Engineering or equivalent Supply- Chain Management experience.- 10+ years of experience in automotive purchasing (OEM or Tier 1).- Training in one or more developmental areas (i.E. negotiation, contract writing, cost analysis, legal, leadership development, etc.).- Understanding of the basic cost elements of Automotive Parts.- Strong and confident negotiator with the ability to negotiate at all levels.- Strong teamwork skills. Able to develop consensus and move the program forward. Develop win-win situations- Inquisitive, detail-oriented with strong quantitative analytical skills and an innovative approach to problem solving.- Excellent MS Office capabilities required.- Basic knowledge of Quality Management Systems (IATF16949) and Environmental Management Systems- (ISO 14001), as applicable.- Exceptional planning, analysis and problem-solving abilities- Interpersonal skills and ability to influence outcomes will assist in program development and implementation.- Working knowledge of supply chain issues gained from within OEM/manufacturing environments.**Salary**: $1.00 per month
