Your Role As Purchasing Director Mexico, you are leading the local purchasing activities for Direct Material Purchasing, Indirect Purchasing, Aftermarket spare parts and Supplier Quality. You have an end-to-end Purchasing responsibility for our Volvo Bus Mexico business.
As a member of the Global Bus Purchasing management team, you are highly involved in setting the strategic direction for the Purchasing function and as a member of the Volvo Mexico executive team you are also part of a local cross-functional business function.
You will be responsible for the complete purchasing department, manage supply partner relationships, collaborate cross-functionally, lead/contribute in negotiations, manage project timelines, and contribute to global segment strategies.
You will lead a team of approximately 20 employees, divided in three teams where you will lead two leaders and a team of direct reports. You will be based out of Volvo Bus Tultitlan plant in the state of Mexico and report to the Senior Vice President, Global Bus Purchasing.
