**Objective of the position**:
Manage a Commodity Buyers team at a regional level.
Assure the control and Implementation of purchasing activities.
**Principal activities**:
- Supervision of team members.
- Support the strategic planning of the Direct Material commodity by breaking down or developing the strategic planning for the Americas Region team, within a short or medium-range time frame.
- Develop and execute commodity strategies/roadmaps for PE/PC commodities.
- Establish and develop local suppliers in cooperation with Supplier Quality.
- Plan and administer the Material Budget and Operating Budget in his/her area of responsibility, in cooperation with the Manager, and make sure there is compliance with it.
- Monitor supplier performance, reports KPIs, and takes corrective actions when deliverables are not being met.
- Conduct and support trans-regional sourcing activities.
- Lead negotiations and support the buyers in difficult negotiations.
Local escalation point for all commercial issues.
**Requirements**:
- Professional career: BD Business Administration, Finance, Engineering or other technical related field.
- Strong understanding of performance based metrics
English advanced.
**Technical knowledge**:
- Production processes: Injection, stamping, holding, assembly, welding, wire harness production etc.
- Automotive Electrical and Interior Market.
- Cost estimation.
- Automotive Standards (APQP, PPAP, SPC, MSA, VDA).
