Purpose Statement: Regional expert in the area of Purchasing/Material Control, driving operational improvement through implementation of best practices and management of the Supply Chain Value StreamKey Job Accountabilities:- Lead a regional three-year strategy of site capabilities in alignment with a global strategy and customer requirements.- Manage a gap analysis by site/process to a global VSM/SOP/WI/SFT.- Manage site capabilities in support of customer/sales opportunity funnels.- Manage the tabulation and improvement of metrics related to health of process.- Lead the identification and propagation of best practices within region and share across region.- Support the management of resources for the deployment of global processes.- Manage regional initiatives funnel.- Accountable to execute on Plexus' Best People strategy, leaders will focus on evaluating potential, driving succession planning and ensuring that their employees receive the development and coaching required to realize their full potential.Additional Accountabilities:- Lead the deployment of evolutionary capabilities with in a region.- Support the coordination with other regions to work toward common solutions.- Support and mentoring for high priority, immediate needs project.- Manage site resources within the region to address surge capacity needs.- Lead the identification of root causes and implementation of sustaining corrective actions.- Support operations reviews to gather VOC.- Lead the mentoring of site resources to ensure adherence to strategy.- Support performance reviews, development and succession planning.- Lead succession planning for self and site roles.- Minimal travel may be required to meet the needs of the business (estimated < 10%).- Additional dutiesas assigned.Education/Experience Qualifications:- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration is required.- Seven (7) years of related experience is required; Seven (7) or more yearsof related experience is preferred.- APIC Certification in production inventory control management (CPIM) or ISM Certification in procurement management (CPM) is beneficial.)An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities may be considered.Other Qualifications:- Excellent oral and written communication skills are necessary.- Management/supervisory skills.- Problem solving skills.- Assertiveness, prioritizing skills and multi-tasking capabilities.- Computer literacy in MRP, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and AS400 are essential.- General office equipment and materials.Work Environment:- The work setting should consist of an office environment with suitable lighting, comfortable temperatures, and a low noise level.- This document does not represent a contract of employment and is not intended to capture every possible assignment the incumbent could be asked to perform._
