**Qualification requirements include the following points. Other duties may be appointed or assigned.**- Manages the activities of the respective product line to achieve goals and objectives.- Ensures that departmental purchasing standards are followed as it relates to POPM and QSPM requirements- Manages efforts to protect inventory from loss, damage or theft and manages the necessary measures.- Effectively manages inventory investment to ensure best business practices are adhered to.- Calculates, implements, and manages inventory replenishment strategies in a timely manner as supply and demand variables change.- Manages inventory balances to ensure product availability to meet production demand.- Ensures that plant demand is monitored on a daily basis and that supplier receipts are coordinated accordingly.- Communicates material specifications set by design engineers to ensure suppliers provide material approved for use.- Coordinates the resolution of corrective actions of defective materials with suppliers to prevent future events.- Leads the local procurement team with tactical best practices- Negotiates with suppliers on prices, delivery times, payment terms and other necessary contractual obligations.- Manages supplier performance by focusing on pricing, quality and deliveries.- Coordinates the maintenance of the list of approved suppliers with procurement, quality and engineering- Coordinates the delivery of the first items with quality and engineering so that inspections and comments are completed and communicated in a timely manner.- Manage departmental budgets and evaluate departmental performance to meet or exceed budget goals**Education and/or Experience**:- Completed degree in Logistics / Administration.
