**Summary**:**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**:- Management of North American assigned category team.- Developing and managing supplier relationships in conjunction with internal stakeholders (Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Research & Development, Finance, and Customer Service).- Negotiating and managing strategic contracts that include an emphasis on quality, service and continuous improvement.- Development and management of the budgetary process and the associated Purchase Price Variance (PPV).- They will also work closely with several internal stakeholders to assure an optimized cost of use for all functional categories.- They will communicate with internal and external customers on functional category topics, issues and variances to the Operating Plan.- This individual will also be expected to drive process solutions and have strong project management skills.**Specific Accountabilities**:- Leadership/Oversight over North American Packaging categories.- Establish, monitor, and impact the Operating Plan budget through various tools: Forecasting, GPE, $ wtd Lead Time, $ Wtd DPO, etc.- Develop or support the Purchasing team in setting supplier and/or category strategies. Lead or assist in negotiating strategic contracts for specific Global Griffith entities.- Ensure purchase orders are completed in accordance with established policies, procedures and contract terms (i.E., price, time, freight, etc.).- Proactively communicate supply chain issues to proper internal and external channels and coordinate solution implementation.- Purchasing representative/lead on cross functional projects.- Ensure compliance for all suppliers to Griffith's quality, regulatory, and legal documentation expectations.**Knowledge & Experience**:- Bachelor's degree; Master's a plus.- Bi-Lingual a Plus (English and Spanish).- Professional certification a plus (CPIM/APICS/CPM).- 7-10 years' experience in Purchasing/Sourcing or Category Management.- 1-3 years of people management.- Knowledge of sourcing processes and sourcing practices.- Knowledge of sourcing strategy and best practices.- Demonstrated ability to work effectively across geography and functions to influence from the top to the bottom of an organization.- Proven negotiation experience.- Proven cross functional project management skills.- Ability to effectively work remotely and travel to other regions.Griffith Foods is an equal opportunity employer.
