Job Objective Based in PL7, you will be responsible, within purchasingorganization, for components of a scope of projects & customers from SOP (Startof Production) to EOP (End of Production). Your main counterparts will beLogistics, Quality, Project team (PJO, PJS) and our purchasing department. Thisposition is divided in 2 main activities: Series & Productivity Purchasing.
For "Series" activities: you will be the 1st contact for purchasing within the plants.
For "Productivity"activities, the buyer is responsible for improving the supplier performance inproduction (quality, cost, delivery) for his plant, in line with purchasing strategy.
Duties &Responsibilities Series Purchasing Tasks Be involved in the kick-off in program phase to prepare the start of Production. Lead transfers meetings with Program Buyers at the take-over.Deliveries issues: support Logistics with delivery delays & line stoppage.Capacity Increase and Decrease: build business case with suppliers to secure wellbeing of supply relationship & support sales to create their offer to customer.Obsolete Material: Support suppliers to find alternative source of supply when a component become obsolete or disappear from the market.Tool relocation/refurbishment: Lead tool transfer between Hella plants or suppliers for tool transfer.Commercial topics (only plant related): Be the first line of contact when a supplier is requesting a price increase on several components.Claim still in dispute (quality & logistics): Negotiate with suppliers open claims from logistics or quality.Productivity Purchasing Taks ECR/optimization proposals: participate to ReDTC workshop (Re-design to Cost), propose your ideas to improve parts and support the ReDTC team for ideas implementation in your plant.Organize workshop with suppliers in the plant to find optimization ideas & support lean workshop at supplier (methodology will be provided).Contribute to the identification and implementation of productivity actions (product / process) for cost reduction, in close coordination with Commodity teams thanks to our cost model tool.Support the implementation of new productivity tools.Packaging optimization by proposing ideas to improve one-way packaging from suppliers.
