Eaton's ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking a Purchasing Supervisor.
**What you'll do**:
The Purchasing is responsible for leading the procurement of the required direct and indirect materials goods necessary to support the manufacturing operations. Lead Supplier negotiations for their assigned commodities. The role acts as a Leader to all Buyers to meet MRBR metric, past due open POs performance, ME5A, Schedule agreement management & improve the DOH inventory performance.
**In this role, you will**:
- Purchasing activities aligned to Eaton Bussmann standard tools, policies, and processes.
- Lead purchasing / supplier management, cost-out calls and follow up critical / avoid indirect material shortages situations and/or follow the escalation path if any.
- Lead systematic reviews with the Purchasing Team to achieve the department targets.
- Manage all the supply base, including being the main contact point at the Juarez Facility.
- Participation in all Plant Assessments - OpA, MMA and actively address all related open action items.
- Lead Cost-out savings initiatives.
- Escalate any potential issue that may affect customer weekly shipping schedule or production schedule.
- Provide training and guidance to buyers.
- Directly responsible for deployment and successful execution of the following activities across the business:
- Purchasing
- Leader standard work
- Participate and lead Lean/Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Identify efficiencies and cost out opportunities.
- Motivate and coach employees to maintain a high level of satisfaction, productivity and quality through effectively utilizing available rewards and recognition channels to encourage and promote desired behaviors and results.
- Effectively confronts employee performance and behavioral issues. Holds employees accountable with immediate feedback when desired behaviors and expectations are not being achieved.
**Qualifications**:
**Required Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration / Industrial Engineer, a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience dealing with local and foreign suppliers in a contractual format.
- Minimum of 3 years working with SAP
- Bilingual English / Spanish
- VISA
- Working knowledge of MRP systems, just in time concepts and respective production processes
- Experience in People management.
- Strong negotiating skills; profit and action biased. Experience in scheduling agreements / contracts.
- Possesses a high energy level with a sense of urgency.
- Ability to work well with others at all levels of the organizations is essential
