Eaton's ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Purchasing Supervisor.
**What you'll do**:
**Job summary**
Driving strategic direction of the business and ensuring achievement of operating and production objectives consistent with quality assurance requirements and customer, optimizing the utilization of the workforce to minimize manufacturing costs.
**Job responsibilities**
A. Supervise and coordinate assigned Planners-Buyers, handling priorities of production and support issues with suppliers
B. Follow up metrics OTM, OTD, Orders Fill Rate, SOTD, and Inventory.
C. Follow and solving issues in production meeting daily.
D. Revise and validate with finance in weekly basis POV, PPV, GR/IR.
E. Validate and verify Info Records for costing and annual cost roll.
F. Participate and support in different projects related of savings, design, marketing, sourcing, etc.
G. Supervise and coordinate the purchasing for MRO and indirect materials thru plant 3005 (Bussmann).
H. Follow up with Financial team (FSS) and ensuring the payment for direct and indirect suppliers, validate and sent the changes needed.
I. Own Supply Chain function for the assigned area.
J. Create training material and document procedures as well as develop, implement & maintain appropriate processes to ensure a productive planning process and well-considered and implementable strategic plans that comply with new/existing business processes.
K. Act as the 'Voice of the Customer' in order to assist in the resolution of Customer inquiries requests. Serve as the overall technical resource for Scheduling and capacity related issues and problem solution alternatives.
L. Use a combination of performance management, functional leadership, and recruiting for critical skills to create a highly capable workforce with opportunities for achievement and advancement.
M. Help Develop & Implement a shared Supply Chain vision to achieve the Materials planning and procurement objectives.
N. Ensure that production activities are scheduled in a manner, which will make efficient operations possible, and at the same time, assure the fulfillment of customer delivery requirements.
O. Responsible for engaging the production plan of the various materials, parts, and subassemblies required by the plant. Drives for resolution of material shortages."
**Qualifications**:
**Education level required**
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, or Marketing from an accredited institution
**Years and area of experience required**
- 3- 5 years experience in Purchasing, Production Scheduling, or Inventory Control roles.
**Technical knowledge**
- Experience in calculation and implementation of pull replenishment systems (Kanban, Reorder point, Min-Max)., Power user level of ERP systems - SAP Desired, APICS CPIM training - required, APICS CPIM Certification - desired, SQDCI - High Five Metrics monitoring and reporting, negociation, problem solving, MS Excel, CT- Pat knowledge, QMS,
