.Baker Corporate Services, a partner of Baker Electric Home Energy, is hiring a PV Designer I in our Tijuana, Mexico office.The PV Design Engineer will be responsibr the design ofsolar projects and to ensure that prescribed activities are documented inaccordance with Baker Electric Home Energys specified objectivr thesuccessful permitting, procurement, and completion of the project.Responsibr ensuring drawings and designs arecompleted on time and adhere to the established specifications and standards.They may prepare project schedules, bids, or proposals. using site audit andcontract information to complete PV design packages. The packages will consistof electrical, structural and layout design work thllows building andelectrical codes as well as jurisdictional requiremenr permitting.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide expertise with residential projects and incorporate into high level system design workCreate drawinr proposed rooftop and ground-mount systems, drafting system layouts/single line diagrams and site maps, including output circuit details, combiner boxes and overcurrent protection selections.Design & maintain advanced research and development efforts knowing safety & code standardsPerform ampacity, voltage drop, condull, load calculation, and other preliminary engineering calculations whillowing standard methodologies.Collect, manage, and analyze dar design and engineering projects.Function in a multi-discipline project team environment to deliver design projects and technical reports on assigned projects.Understand local jurisdictional requirements in and around Southern California, as they pertain to the design and installation of solar and Energy Storage Systems.Collaborate with the Project Managers, Sales & the Executive Staff.Workwith Permitting team to appr and obtain building permits and expeditepermitting when possiblePerformengineering calculations per the NEC and building codes to properly sizeequipmentFollowstandard operating procedures and protocol to ensure accuracy of designlayoutsSite-specificproduction analysis of PV arrays using existing industry modelsOtherDuties as assignedEDUCATION, SKILL,Importante empresa:Solar industry Importante empresa preferred but not required.AutoCAD and/or Sketch-Up Importante empresa required.Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) written and verbal communication, project management, task management, and client relations skills.Excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize and complete a variety of simultaneous tasks required.A Bachelor of Science, or degree in Engineering or an Industry related discipline is preferred.PHYSICAL DEMANDSWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee equentlyrequired to stoop, reach, stand, walk, lift, pull, push, grasp, climb, talk,hear, see and use complex repetitive motions.
