We are looking for an experienced **Software Quality Assurance Engineer **to join our team in Guadalajara, Mexico.
PosiTrace system provides real-time GPS tracking of vehicles and other mobile assets.
An advanced software-as-a-service for improved Fleet management with real-time Google Maps view of asset location and data, reporting, maintenance, and various fleet management features.
**Job Summary**
**Responsibilities**
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to thoroughly validate software functionality, performance, and security.
- Perform manual and automated testing across web-based platforms and mobile apps to identify defects and ensure optimal user experience.
- Conduct exploratory testing to uncover hidden issues and scenarios that might not be covered by formal test cases.
- Collaborate with software developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Participate in requirements review and design discussions to provide QA insights and contribute to improving software quality from the early stages.
- Identify, report, and track defects using issue tracking systems, and work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
- Execute regression testing to validate bug fixes and ensure that new code changes do not introduce new defects.
- Perform compatibility testing across different browsers, devices, and platforms to ensure consistent functionality.
- Collaborate in the continuous improvement of QA processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of testing efforts.
- Provide input into the creation and maintenance of testing environments and test data to simulate real-world scenarios.
- Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in software quality assurance and testing.
**Qualifications and Skills**
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and processes.
- Proficiency in manual testing techniques and experience with test case design and execution.
- Familiarity with automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium) is a plus.
- Knowledge of API testing, performance testing, and security testing concepts.
- Experience with issue tracking, test management tools and documentation tools.
(e.g.
JIRA, Slack, ClickUp).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional and multicultural remote environment.
- Familiarity with fleet management concepts or related domains is a bonus.
