Nextiva is currently seeking bright and talented individuals for a **QA Engineer** position to join our expanding systems engineering team.
This position is responsible for designing, documenting, implementation, and execution of automation testing and manual testing of VoIP/ UCaaS/SaaS related systems.
As a **QA Engineer, **you will analyze tests results and highlight any potential quality risks from automation tests runs also you will interact with systems engineering to enhance testing methods and track all issues.
In addition to automation testing, some manual client and CPE testing against VoIP and web-based API protocols will also be required.
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and maintain automated testing infrastructure
- Build and support automation test frameworks
- Develop maintainable automated test code for UI and API testing layers
- Run automated test suites and analyze test results
- Identify, record and track defects using bug tracking tools
- Prepare and analyze test cases prepared for automation
- Maintain automated regression tests/suites for providing quick feedback regarding impacted area once new features are introduced/implemented
- Work closely with engineering teams to identify automation needs and area of improvements
- Explore new testing approaches and best practices to fit changes in continuous delivery environment.
- Make reliable estimates of planned automation efforts
- In close cooperation with development team define and prioritize automation testing roadmap, taking into account current project business needs
- Learn product knowledge and capabilities of our customer premise equipment, clients, apps, API's and portals to enhance testing efforts and efficiencies

**Qualifications**:
**Education**:

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent working experience

**Knowledge**:

- SDLC and Agile principles and methodologies
- Experience with Object Oriented Programming
- Experience with real-time communication protocols
- Good understanding and prior experience with test automation framework development
- Solid understanding of SW development practices, documentation, code reviews, defect tracking
- Ability to prioritize tasks and efficiently manage time is required
- Test case design techniques
- Understanding of UNIX based systems
- Understand some relational databases and basic SQL
- Understanding of Telecommunications architectures and inter-workings

**Experience**:

- 2+ years of experience in testing VoIP and UCaaS related technologies
- Hands-on experience in development automation test framework from scratch
- Solid expertise in automated testing tools TestNG/JUnit, Mocha, Chai, Jasmine
- Familiar with Web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML
- Familiar with SIP 2.0, RTP/SRTP, XMPP, and WebRTC protocols and clients
- Experience working with Git, Bitbucket
- Test Case Management tools (TestRail)
- Atlassian products and integrations (Jira, Confluence, etc.)
**Preferred Experience with**:

- Experience specifically VoIP/UCaaS related technologies and API's
- Experience with real-time communication protocols
- Experience in test parallelization
- Experience in Performance/Load/Stress testing

**Language Qualifications**:

- Java
- Python
- JavaScript
