We are currently seeking a QA Manual - Sr QA Tester to join our team in CDMX, Ciudad de México (MX-CMX), Mexico (MX).
- Perform work under limited supervision.
- Handle moderate to complex issues and problems and works with high-level staff on more complex issues.
- Create test strategies, test plans and test cases for large scale products.
- Peer review test cases for junior QA Engineers.
- Approve test plans and strategies for junior QA Engineers.
- Review product user interface for conformity to design guidelines.
- Participate in design discussions and technical meetings.
- Work with Software Development Engineers to understand the overall technical architecture and how each feature is implemented.
- Communicate with project managers to define test strategy, scope, and evaluate test results followed by reporting and metrics.
- Responsible for successful execution and informing team and managers of obstacles, issues and risks.
- Efficiently execute test cases across all functional areas of our products.
Functional testing with different browsers, tablets and phones.
- Execute test plans and test cases ensuring that they meet provided requirements and technical design objectives.
- Conduct occasional field testing.
- Write and perform advanced SQL queries to analyze and manipulate data.
- Interpret and report testing results and be a vocal proponent for quality in every phase of the development process.
- Find, isolate, document, regress, and track bugs through resolution.
- Participate in weekly calls and timely escalation of severe bugs.
- Conduct root cause analysis for defects, non-conformities, or other quality failures.
Leads root cause and defect resolution for all production issues with special focus on high-impacting defects.
- Contribute heavily to the production defect resolution process.
May work with QA teams on internal audit needs.
- Mentor and train team members in Quality Standards.
- Ensure QA processes adhere to quality standards.
- Maintain documentation on coding, processes and changes.
- Perform onboarding knowledge transfer and training for all new staff members.
