Quality Assurance Engineer H/MThe Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for ensuring compliance, effectiveness, and quality of shop processes with applicable aeronautical authorities, OEM, customers, Quality Management System, and company procedures requirements.
Verify that SAESA's Quality System is followed and updated as required.Work with other areas in the review and preparation of internal procedures, ensuring compliance with Company's Policies and Authority requirements.Participate in Quality Investigations and establish root causes of non-conformities and customer complaints (Problem-solving and risk management knowledge such as 8Ds, bow-tie, FMEA).Perform internal audits of different areas.Report and request action plans for non-conformances and improvement opportunities detected.Validate the Capability Self Evaluation form for each new process implemented in the Company.Participate in the creation, analysis, and updating of quality indicators to establish action plans.Verify and validate the first article (FAI) for new processes.Validate qualification files for special processes.Perform returns of experience (RETEX) and briefings for assigned gates.Conduct training on Quality Fundamentals in the Onboarding plan.Perform Spot Audits and calibration for personnel participating in the spot audit program as auditors and verify completion of the action plan for the spot audits and On Job Monitoring of specific gates.Manage quarantine and scrap.Follow up on the RPP.Review and validate Requests For Change.Evaluate technicians' and inspectors' capability and knowledge to validate their new scopes in the roster.Manage the Calibration Program.Quality Inspector ProfileExperience in products quality control.Perform random inspections to assess processes and products to ensure compliance with quality requirements.Experience as an internal/external auditor.Knowledge of handling and searching technical manuals and Technical Information.CFM56 and LEAP Series Engine knowledge (desirable).Knowledge of special processes management per international norms like AS9110 or ISO9000.Documental Quality Management System knowledge.Safety Management System knowledge.Knowledge of Suspected Unapproved Parts.Understanding of Parts Manufacturing Approval (PMAs).Knowledge of quality standards.Knowledge of operation of industrial processes and repairs of parts.Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma tools (DMAIC, PDCA, Kaizen).Knowledge of aeronautical regulations.Understanding of Human Factors.
