About the RoleThe Quality Assurance Manager, Footwear – ROW supports the Supply Chain & Quality Manager in maintaining the quality management system, upholding quality standards in footwear manufacturing, establishing best manufacturing processes, and seeking continuous improvement actions with suppliers.
This position will report to the Sr.
Manager, Supply Chain & Quality Assurance.You'll Make a Difference ByResponsibilities include 80% Quality Assurance and 20% Quality Control:Focusing on issue detection, solution, and prevention in footwear manufacturingParticipating in product tear down meetings to voice foreseen production concerns and recommend solutions to the product creation teamEngaging with suppliers in all steps of product creation from the inspection of materials to final inspection of production ordersDocumenting and reporting daily, weekly, and quarterly quality control reports to relevant stakeholdersAssuming responsibility as product developer or product engineer when necessaryDriving improvement opportunity actions such as implementation of automation machinery and best practicesMonitoring and improving regional quality and management system to meet or exceed the company quality goalsEngaging with cross-functional departments to achieve business goalsDeveloping and leading a regional quality team to ensure high standards and consistent performance by suppliersEngaging with regional and international quality managers to address product issues from customer returns and/or complaintsOther duties as assignedAbout YouBachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field is preferred10+ years of experience in the Footwear Industry with at least 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance ManagementProficiency in Windows, Microsoft Office Tools, and Pivot 88 is preferredExperience with Goodyear welt and cement construction is preferredFluent in English, with strong oral and written communication skillsDetail-oriented, with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skillsProactive, problem-solving, and results-oriented, with a continuous improvement mindsetAbility to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environmentAbout AriatAriat is an innovative, outdoor global brand with roots in equestrian performance.
