Position Summary: Coordinate all activities related to the implementation of a quality system that ensures compliance with the requirements of the North American Regulatory Agency FDA and the Mexican Regulatory Agency, Cofepris, as required, in all Maquiladoras and Packers in Mexico.
Coordinate all validation activities of new packaging for all categories and management of the Packaging Laboratory staff.
Manage implementation of inspection plan for incoming packaging materials.
Maintain KPIs for Packaging supplier performance and create continuous improvement and monitoring plans.
Coordinate support to the different manufacturing plants in Mission Hills to correct and prevent packaging problems on the filling lines.
Responsibilities/Activities Responsible for quality assurance of the finished product for external manufacturer sites (Contract manufacturer and Co-packers) to ensure product integrity, safety and compliance.
Responsible for ensuring compliance with all 26 quality standards through effective management of the quality system at CoMans facilities including but not limited to technology transfer process, validation, MoC, investigations, CAPA, and external audit programs.
Responsible for continuous improvement of CoMans and CoPackers, monitoring and reporting of quality KPIs (MSI, process control, product launch time, product shelf quality, consumer complaints, non-conformances, and simulated recalls) Supports other quality related programs such as micro lab, analytical lab, and packaging engineering.
Ensure CoMans and Co-Packers receive, understand, and implement CP Quality Standards.
Coordinate quality technical agreements with suppliers, external manufacturers, and co-packers as well as the ESM audit program across the Mission Hills site.
Lead the packaging laboratory at MH, responsible for the validation of new materials for all Colgate categories (HC, PCP, Soaps, OC) and ensure effective performance of the material on the filling lines through inspection of incoming material, supplier management, associated material Coordination of the KAIZEN workshop with operations and packaging team.
Apply corrective and improvement actions based on the performance of packaging materials resulting from consumer or customer complaints.
Conduct periodic audits of packaging material suppliers and manufacturers, evaluating business simplification, quality, services, delivery time, procurement cost and organization, suggesting improvement plans in order to monitor results and process performance.
Manage and optimize packaging material analysis processes of suppliers, to ensure compliance with the specifications of the materials used in the manufacture of products.
Manage the packaging laboratory quality system and meet the following quality standards: Product conformity, Laboratory testing, Change control, Handling of commercial and consumer complaints, Documentation, Facilities, Calibration, Labeling, Visual control systems, Corrective and preventive actions, Process capacity, Quality training, Internal audits, Equipment, Non-conformity, Product traceability, External audits.
