Quality Engineer Department: Manufacturing

DescriptionQuality Engineers are responsible for ensuring consistent application of quality techniques, providing statistical information for quality improvement, and investigating, analyzing, and resolving quality problems.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide statistical analysis of processes like MSA, SPC using applicable data/statistics, quality tools, and softwareIdentify and record problems relating to product lines and initiate actions to prevent recurrence of nonconformities relating to products and processesAssist in the evaluation and qualification of new product designs and new supplier materials through defined new product development processMonitor and support site quality objectives by maintaining metrics. Report these on a regular recurring basisLead performance improvement projects to increase facility capability and consistently meet company and customer requirementsParticipate in documentation review, approval, revision, or creation as necessary to ensure proper documentation of processes like procedures, FMEA and PPAP.Review customer complaints and complete 8D reports to prevent recurrencePerform assigned audits according to the supplier auditing program Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseBachelor's degree in Industrial, Electronic, or Electrical Engineering with a Quality emphasisBilingualLean Six Sigma Green Belt preferredExperience working in a factory certified to IATF16949 and ISO 9001Experience auditing suppliers using the VDA 6.3 standardExperience with various improvement tools, including 8D, Lean Six Sigma, Five Whys, Pareto Analysis, FMEA Kaizen, Cpk, etc.Minimum 5 years related experience in quality department.Strong English written and verbal communication skillsWork well in a high-volume production environment with minimal supervision.Project management experienceExperience with Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Minitab.Availability to travel to suppliers, customers, or corporate meetings in USA.
