**Primary Function**:
Ensure the quality of the product and processes, focused on the customer, internal as well as external. Identify problems/risks and use quality, statistics and continuous improvement tools to establish plans to solve or mitigate any risks.
**Responsibilities**:
- Ensure products and processes are carried out in accordance with the established Control Plans, as well as the documented requirements of the Quality Management System.
- Use basic quality tools to measure and analyze the performance of applicable KPIs and metrics.
- Solve problems and improve processes using problem solving tools such as '8-step PSFC', 8D, 5-phase, PDCA, DMAIC, etc. Ensures documentation in accordance with the Quality System.
- Use statistical tools to measure, analyze, improve and control processes, such as SPC, Process Capability Studies, MSA (GR&R), Hypothesis Tests, ANOVA, DOE, etc.
- Develop documented Process Control Plans, and actively participates in the development and revisions to PFMEA's.
- Manage customer complaints, from recording the complaint, documenting the evaluation of returned product samples (when available) and establishing and documenting corrective actions, in accordance with the documents and systems established in the Quality Management System.
- Participate in projects of the AOS NPD system representing the Quality function.
- Responsible for approving design engineering change processes (PCP's), as well as the resulting PPAP's (when applicable) in NPD and Sustaining Engineering projects.
- Work with the Commodity Manager to manage the changeover process for purchased components through the PPAP process. Establish communication with suppliers when necessary to facilitate the process.
- Actively participates in continuous improvement initiatives such as Gemba, Kaizen, PSFC, etc.
**Qualifications**:
- University degree in Engineering.
- Fluent bilingual communication - Spanish/English.
- 5+ years of experience in similar position.
- Certification as CQE ASQ, Six-Sigma Black or Green Belt, desired.
- Knowledge on the ISO 9001:2015 standard.
- Proven experience on analysis and problem solving methodology (DMAIC, 8D, 5F, 5W, Ishikawa), a must.
- Proven experience on statistical and quality tools (SPC, MSA, DOE, ANOVA, etc.), a must.
- Continuous improvement tools and methodology.
- Leadership and teamwork.
**Education**:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Related Field
**Years of Experience**:
- Minimum of 5 years related work experience
