The Quality Engineer is responsible for providing investigation and root cause analysis of product failures. Works closely with various Engineering functions (Reliability, Design, Manufacturing, etc) in a closed-loop, corrective-action process to improve product quality and reliability performance.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for working with cross-functional groups to coordinate strategies for meeting customer's requirements in all quality areas that also serve AE's business needs.
- Failure Analysis, Root Cause Analysis, corrective and preventive action due customer (internal-external) complaints.
- Define, design, develop and Implement SPC tools for assembly tools, manufacturing, and test fixtures.
- Establish, implement, and maintain the quality management system.
- Interact with Engineering and Operations to ensure an appropriate transfer of new products, PPAP.
- Responsible for planning, organizing, and managing activities of receiving / outgoing quality functions.
- Participates in Design Reviews to ensure compliance with reliability standards and customer requirements.
- Review Engineering Change Requests for customer approval requirements and submission.
- Perform weekly, monthly trend analysis and coordinate corrective actions with involved areas.
- Defines SPC to manufacturing processes and monitor weekly and monthly performance, implement countermeasure.
- Interact constantly with Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Materials, Support Areas to ensure robust processes using PPAP, SPC and LEAN tools.

EXPERIENCE:
Essential:
- Experience in Electronics Industry Preferable
- Experience in Automotive Industry and/or Production Part Approval Process (PPAP),
- Bachelor's degree (Manufacturing, Electronic Engineering)
Preferable
- Six Sigma Certification preferable
- 3+ years' experience in manufacturing is preferred. - 3+ years in quality system maintenance
