**Department**:Quality**Location***:Nogales Mx**Reports to/ Supervises**:QA Manager**PURPOSE OF POSITION**Responsible for overseeing, from the Quality perspective, the assembly of battery and corded outdoor products.
Support Manufacturing, Engineering, and Materials groups in identification of root cause defect analysis and correction.
Supervises the Quality Inspection Group.
**MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES**- Plan, create and manage the overall Quality Planning strategy- Identify quality assurance process bottleneck and suggest actions for improvement- Collect quality data- Identify key KPIs for product quality- Ensure that processes needed for the Quality System are established, implemented and maintained.- Administration of Corrective Action Request system and Customer Complaints.- Suggest solutions to identified product problems by analysis of dimensional and testing data to determine areas where a product can be improved or modified to better meet the needs of customers.- Investigate product quality to make improvements to achieve better customer satisfaction and present report findings, suggestions and detailed data to executive management in an informative manner to help them make better decisions.- Collaborate with the Product Development team to ensure that all product pieces and components are functioning as they should and in compliance with blueprints and engineered design plans.- Oversee continuous improvement projects- Resolve problems in a way that honors the company's integrity, benefits the consumer, and creates a higher quality product in the end.- Collaborate with other departmental professionals to understand client requirements, government specifications and company policies in regard to product making.1**P****osition Title**:QA Engineer**Required Skills and Abilities**:**(Competencias y habilidades)**- Bachelor's degree in Electronics engineering or related field; Further education a plus.- 4+ years in a similar quality assurance position, department, or operation.- Have robust knowledge of GD&T, blueprint and specs interpretation.- Familiar with the use of all inspection hand gauging including but not limited to; micrometers, thread gauges, dial indicators, vernier calipers, height gauges, internal and external thread gauges, ID/OD mics, bore gauges, and etc.- Command of spoken and written English language; the ability to clearly express complex ideas verbally and in writing.- Proficiency in MS Office, including Word and Excel.- Experience working in the quality area for an organization certified to ISO 9000 or similar standard.- Interpersonal skills including teamwork, listening, giving feedback, giving instructions, and conflict resolution
