Quality Engineer

Business Unit: Sensors & Fluid Management
Job Description: Customer interface on all things quality like warranties, customer complaints, internally main driver for FTQ and support to our QSM.
Main ActivitiesFacilitate team members on problem solving, using core tools such as DOE, A3, 5 Whys, etc.Follow up on customer claims and provide 8D and DPRs.Drive our warranty process from reporting to actions taken to reduce this expense (top offenders) as well as responding to customer portals.Actively support and participate in continuous improvement activities such as Kaizen, idea program, cost-out improvement, RIW, APS.Create and submit PCN/PPAP documentation for customer approval.Requirements: Engineering degree in Industrial, Electrical, or Mechanical.3 or more years of experience in Quality areas.3 or more years of experience in customer interface, claims, and warranties.Six Sigma Green Belt is a plus.Conversational English.Proficient with Statistical Control Process tools (e.g., Minitab).Proficient with MS Office tools like MS Project and Excel.Basic understanding of MRP systems like Oracle to understand material transactions.AMETEK, Inc. is a leading global provider of industrial technology solutions serving a diverse set of attractive niche markets with annual sales over $7.0 billion.
