This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe role encompasses the entire production process, from raw material inspection to final product testing and shipment area.Task include lead a team of quality team (Engineer, Technician and Inspectors). Work closely with production and engineering teams, and interface with suppliers and customers to maintain Corning standards.Process capability (sigma level)Consistency in our processes through qualityManagement of Change and NPI introduction from Quality perspectiveCompetencies (knowledge, skills, and behaviors)Create Vision and StrategyExecute StrategyManage SelfMobilize and Develop PeopleFunctional/Technical SkillsCulture FitExperiences/Education - RequiredYOU MUST HAVE B.S. or equivalentKnowledge of quality assurance methodologies and standards in optical cable manufacturingExperience with ISO 9001, ISO 9001 > TL9000Six Sigma, or similar quality frameworks, preferable Green Belt certifiedStrong analytical and problem-solving skills: Error proofing, Eng. Sys solutions (Poka Yoke)Proficiency in statistical analysis and quality management software (Minitab as preferred): CPK, DOE, etcExcellent communication and leadership skillsExperience coordinating teamsNICE TO HAVE: Supplier Quality ExperienceFamiliarity with fiber optics technology and materials scienceAdvanced degrees or certifications (e.g., Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Six Sigma Black Belt).Summer Intern experience/progressive experience within the field of qualityProcess engineering experienceShift supervisory experienceCorning Puts YOU First!
