**Position Summary**:We are looking for a Quality Engineer to join our high growth organization who will work with multidisciplinary teams to always striving to ensure that the quality of the products meet our specification and support the Voice of the Customer. When non-conformance are found, the QA Engineer must act with urgency quickly and effectively collect data, working with support departments to identify root causes, containment, and corrective actions, you will also provide key input to the upstream process and design FMEA activity for sustaining current products and improving new products as part of our NPI process.
**Responsibilities and Essential Functions**:
- Tracking all complaints, approving/denying warranty claims, analyzing warranty data and providing warranty data for management reviews
- Act as a liaison between, process engineering, product engineering, Manufacturing, and the customer to facilitate effective root cause, problem solving and corrective action activities
- Receive direct field complaints and champion tracking, analyzing, dispositioning, responding and reporting of field/warranty complaint
- Champion corrective action processes for warranty and field concerns
- Work closely with the product engineering team to ensure possible design solutions for customer issues are identified, tracked, fully implemented, and effective.
- Will develop product and process reliability requirements using reliability and design techniques such as failure mode effects analysis (FMEA), fault tolerance, optimization, and design of experiments (DOE).
- Create and implement In-process Quality Control (IPQC) audits/assessments and continues process improvement (CPI) to reduce process variation.
- Issue internal corrective action request (ICAR) to manufacturing for resolution
- Facilitate and promote use of appropriate problem solving techniques for effective root cause analysis and successful closed loop corrective action.
- Develop the annual manufacturing quality audit plan, train internal audit team members, perform necessary duties as required Leas Internal Auditor and provide ongoing communication reporting of results.
- Support yellow and red Andon light process for reporting and correcting problems found during the manufacturing process and at end of line inspection respectively, which drives First Pass Yield (FPY) Pareto charts for continuous improvement actions
- Deploy Layered Process Audit (LPA) process using mobile audit platform for plant floor processes already developed and implemented at other manufacturing sites
**Qualifications, Skills and Education**:
- Required Qualifications:_
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering, or related technical field
- 3 years of experience in Quality Assurance and/or Manufacturing Excellence
- Ability to lead/facilitate teams
- Proven project management skills
- Exceptional problem solving skills using data driven analysis
- Lean manufacturing training and proven ability to use lean tools and methodologies
- Working knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Control Plans, Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA).
- Excellent communication skills: speaking, writing, listening
- Preferred Qualifications:_
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer or Reliability Engineer Certification, and/or training
- Six Sigma / Red X Certification or training
- Experience Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances skills and knowledge.
